Hobe Sound Child Care Center History
1962 - HSCCC opened as the Humpty Dumpty Kindergarten by Gertrude Pettway,
the Center's first director
1964 - Land donated by the Hobe Sound Company
1969 - New facility was erected on the donated land
1984 - HSCCC building was destroyed by fire in August
1985 - With generous community support, the present facility was constructed and occupied in April
1992 - In January a new wing was opened to meet the community's growing needs
